About NLC

New Leaders Council (NLC) develops, connects, and uplifts inclusive, cross-sector leaders who transform our country through social and political change rooted in equity. Anchored by its six-month, place-based, Institute, NLC builds power among the leaders closest to their communities. The NLC Institute creates space for meaningful connection, intensive personal development, and high-impact skill cultivation towards fostering proximate changemakers across issues, industries, and identities. The application will take about 20 - 30 minutes to complete. Please note that this form will not save your information if you exit the page. We highly advise that you finalize your resume before starting and write your essay questions in a separate Google, Word, or txt document and copy and paste your answers into the form. These essay questions can be found in the FAQ on our 2023 NLC Institute page. The application does not save your answers until you click ‘Submit,’ so if you exit out of the page, your work will be cleared from the form and you will need to start over again. Applicants are asked to submit a non-refundable $30 application fee upon completing the form.
